LSU Language Preschool
The LSU Language Preschool is a preschool program that offers one-on-one intervention to children with autism and developmental delays. I worked at the preschool for two years, and my main duties included acting as an assistant clinician during therapy, eliciting and expanding the children’s language, and acting as a communication partner during the use of Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) cards with the nonverbal children. I have been fully trained in implementing and using this system of communication with a nonverbal child.
